K 2-12 Metering and Exposure
Locking Exposure (AE Lock)
Lock exposure at the metered value. Use when you want to meter one subject while
focusing on another or take several shots at the same exposure.
Exposure lock is performed using a button. Exposure lock is available only when
[mode1] or [mode2] is selected for [K AEL/AFL] (P. 141). If the AEL/AFL button
is assigned a role other than exposure lock, you will also need to assign [AEL/AFL]
to a control using [K Button Function] (P. 463).
Choosing the AEL/AFL Button Mode
1 Press the MENU button to display the menus.
2 Select G Custom Menu J (AF/MF).
3 Highlight [K AEL/AFL] using FG on the arrow
pad and press the I button.
4 Highlight a focus mode using the FG buttons and
press the I button.
5 Highlight [mode1] or [mode2] using the FG buttons
and press the OK button.
6 Press the MENU button repeatedly to exit the
menus.
