TAKING
PICTURES
DIGITAL TELE MODE
This mode enables you to enlarge the image digitally to magnifications 1.6×,
2×, 3.2× and 4×.
You can only set magnifications 3.2× and 4× in SQ2 modes. See “Image
Quality” (
p. 41).

Open the lens barrier.
The camera will turn on in Record
mode.

Press the button.
The monitor will automatically turn
on.

Press the / buttons
looking at the monitor.
The magnification will change in the
sequence [1.6×] → [2.0×] → [3.2×] →
[4.0×] each time the button is
pressed, and in the sequence [3.2×]
→ [2.0×] → [1.6×] → [No display(1.0)]
each time the
button is pressed.

Take the picture by looking at
the monitor.
Note
• Press the button to turn the monitor off and cancel Digital
Tele mode.
• The pictures taken in Digital Tele mode may become coarser.
