Handling the Camera
WARNING
Do not use the camera near ammable or
explosive gases.
Do not use the ash and LED on people
(infants, small children, etc.) at close range.
Youmustbeatleast1m(3ft.)awayfromthe
facesofyoursubjects.Firingtheashtooclose
tothesubject’seyescouldcauseamomentary
lossofvision.
Keep young children and infants away from
the camera.
Alwaysuseandstorethecameraoutofthe
reachofyoungchildrenandinfantstoprevent
thefollowingdangeroussituationswhichcould
causeseriousinjury:
Becomingentangledinthecamerastrap,
causingstrangulation.
Accidentallyswallowingthebattery,cardsor
othersmallparts.
Accidentallyringtheashintotheirowneyes
orthoseofanotherchild.
Accidentallybeinginjuredbythemovingparts
ofthecamera.
Do not look at the sun or strong lights with the
camera.
Do not use or store the camera in dusty or
humid places.
Do not cover the ash with a hand while ring.
Do not insert anything into the microSD
Attachment other than the microSD card.
ThisattachmentisexclusiveforuseofmicroSD
cardsonly.Othertypesofcardscannotbe
installed.
Do not insert anything other than an xD-Picture
Card or the microSD Attachment into the
camera.
Ifyouinsertacardbymistake,suchasamicroSD
card,donotuseforce.Contactauthorized
distributors/servicecenters.

CAUTION
Stop using the camera immediately if you
notice any unusual odors, noise, or smoke
around it.
Neverremovethebatterieswithbarehands,
whichmaycauseareorburnyourhands.
Do not leave the camera in places where it may
be subject to extremely high temperatures.
Doingsomaycausepartstodeteriorateand,in
somecircumstances,causethecameratocatch
re.DonotusethechargerorACadapterifitis
covered(suchasablanket).Thiscouldcause
overheating,resultinginre.
Handle the camera with care to avoid getting a
low-temperature burn.
Whenthecameracontainsmetalparts,
overheatingcanresultinalow-temperature
burn.Payattentiontothefollowing:
Whenusedforalongperiod,thecamerawill
gethot.Ifyouholdontothecamerainthis
state,alow-temperatureburnmaybecaused.
Inplacessubjecttoextremelycold
temperatures,thetemperatureofthecamera’s
bodymaybelowerthantheenvironmental
temperature.Ifpossible,weargloveswhen
handlingthecameraincoldtemperatures.
Be careful with the strap.
Becarefulwiththestrapwhenyoucarrythe
camera.Itcouldeasilycatchonstrayobjects
andcauseseriousdamage.

