Settings
Setting the date and time
This function lets you set the date and time. The date and time is saved
with each image, and is used in the file name.
Top menu [MODE MENU] [SETUP] [X]

1 Select one of the following date
formats: [Y-M-D] (Year/Month/
Day), [M-D-Y] (Month/Day/Year),
[D-M-Y] (Day/Month/Year), and
press q.
• The camera proceeds to the year
setting.
• The following steps show the procedure
used when the date and time settings
are set to [Y-M-D].
2 Press sr to set the year, and
press q to move to the month
setting.
• To move back to the previous setting,
press p.
• The first two digits of the year are fixed.
3 Repeat this procedure until the
date and time are completely set.
• The time is displayed in the 24-hour
format. Consequently, 2 p.m. is displayed as 14:00.
4 Press Z.
• For a more accurate setting, press Z when the time signal hits 00 seconds.
Note
• The date and time settings will be returned to the factory default settings if the
camera is left without batteries for approximately 3 days. The settings will be
canceled more quickly if the batteries were only loaded in the camera for a
short time before being removed. Before taking important pictures, check that
the date and time settings are correct.
