Chapter 1: Introduction
Overview
This section contains instructions and information on
how to configure your OkiLAN 6020e in the NetWare
environment.
There are three environments in which to configure the
OkiLAN 6020e:
• Bindery (NetWare 3.x)
• NetWare Directory Services (NDS)-for NetWare
versions 4.1 and later
• NDPS for NetWare 4.x and 5.x.
Before You Start
• You should be familiar with network administration
as well as the physical setup and operation of your
network.
• Write down the serial number and the Ethernet or
Token-Ring address of your OkiLAN 6020e. You
will find these numbers on the OkiLAN 6020e
enclosure.
• Install the OkiLAN 6020e hardware and connect the
cabling-see Section I. Instructions for hardware
installation are found in Section I of this manual.
• Install the OkiNet Utility for NetWare--see Section I.
