Noisefromyourappliance
Youmaynoticesomeratherunusualnoises.Thenoisesarecausedbycirculationofrefrigerantinthe
coolingsystem.IthasbecomemorepronouncedsincetheintroductionofCFCfreegases.Thisisnota
faultandwillnotaffecttheperformanceofyourfridge.
Prolonged
offperiods
Iftheapplianceisnotinuseforalongperiodoftime,proceedasfollows:
z Disconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupply.
z Cleananddrytheinside(see‘Cleaningandmaintenance’).
z Leavethedooropentopreventanyunpleasantsmellsfrombuildingupwhile
theapplianceis
notinuse.
Defrosting
Thefreezershallbedefrostedperiodicallyorwhenthethicknessofthefrostismorethan3mm.
1 Disconnecttheappliancefromthemainssupply.
2 Removeallthefrozenfoodandwrapinthickblanketsorlayersofpapertokeep
themcold.An
increaseintemperatureoffrozenfoodpackagesduringdefrostingwillshortenthestoragelife.
3 Removethedraincoverlocatedatthebottomofthefreezerthenremovethewaterconduitat
therearofthefreezer.
4 Afterdefrostingisfinishedcleantheinside.
5 Reconnect
theappliancetothemainssupplyandrefitthedraincoverandwaterconduitin
place.
6 Placethefoodbackintothefreezerandsetthethermostatcontrolknobtothedesiredsetting.
Notesforuse
DOcleananddefrostyourapplianceregularly.DOcheckcontentsofthecompartments
everysooften.
DOcheckhighqualityfreshfoodandbesureitisthoroughlycleanbeforerefrigerating.DOwrapall
foodinfoodqualitypolythenebagsorairtightcontainersandmakesureanyairisexcluded.
DoNotstorepoisonousordangeroussubstancesintheappliance.Ithas
beendesignedforthe
storageofediblefoodstuffsonly.
DoNotleavethedooropenforlongperiods,asthiswillmaketheappliancemorecostlytooperate
andcauseexcessiveiceformation.
DoNotusesharpobjectssuchasknivestoremovetheicefromtheappliance.Onlyusea
plasticscrapper.
DoNotputhotfoodintotheappliance.Letitcooldowntoroomtemperature.
DoNotputliquidfilledbottlesorsealedcanscontainingcarbonatedliquidsintothelow
temperaturecompartmentastheymayburst.
