4. PREPARE ADD-ON BLIND UNIT FOR INSTALL
• Stand Add-On Blind unit upright.
u
It is important to only operate the blinds when unit is in the upright position.
• Remove red travel screws from Add-On Blind unit
(g. 5).
u
Blinds will not raise/lower until red travel screws are removed.
• Clean Add-On Blind Unit.
u
Remove any labels.
u
Clean the inside door glass and Add-On Blind glass.
Tip: Dry the glass completely to help prevent condensation
(see ADD-ON BLIND CARE/MAINTENANCE section for more details).
4. PREPARA LA UNIDAD DE PERSIANA COMPLEMENTARIA PARA INSTALACIÓN
• Coloca la persiana complementaria en posición vertical.

Es importante operar las persianas sólo después que la unidad esté en posición vertical.
• Quita los tornillos rojos de traslado de la unidad de persiana complementaria [Fig. 5].

Las persianas no se levantarán ni bajarán hasta que los tornillos rojos de traslado se hayan quitado.
• Limpia la unidad de persiana complementaria.

Retira todas las etiquetas.
u
Limpiar el vidrio interior de la puerta y el vidrio de la persiana adicional (Add-On).
Consejo: Secar completamente el vidrio para ayudar a prevenir contra la condensación (Para más
detalles, consultar la sección CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO DE LA PERSIANA
COMPLEMENTARIA).
3. INSTALL TOP BRACKET
• Line up the center notch in the bottom of the Top Bracket
with the center point of your door glass.

Tip: If your Add-On Blind unit is more than 3 inches taller than your viewable glass you
may want to center the door over-lap top and bottom. Simply hold the unit against
your door, center it over your door glass and have someone make a pencil line just
above the frame. Now, line up the top hook in the Top Bracket with the pencil line and
align the center notch (on the bottom of the Top Bracket) with the center point of your
door glass.
• Use a level, or the “witness line” for reference, to ensure that the Top Bracket is level
and mark hole locations in the center of the six screw slots
(g. 4A).
• Pre-drill your marked holes with the provided drill bit (3/32”).
Tip: You may need to use a small nail and hammer to create a slight
punch mark to aid in your drilling for steel doors.
• Hold the Top Bracket in place and use all six of the included screws to attach the
bracket to your door
(g. 4B).
Tip: To avoid stripping screws, do not use a power driver to screw
bracket into place.
3. INSTALA EL SOPORTE SUPERIOR
• Alinea la muesca central en la parte inferior del soporte con el punto central del vidrio de la puerta.
Consejo: Si tu unidad de persiana complementaria tiene más de 3 pulgadas de alto que tu vidrio visible,
pudieras querer centrar la parte superior e inferior de la superposición de la puerta. Simplemente sostén
la unidad contra la puerta, centra sobre el vidrio de esta última y haz que alguien trace con lápiz una línea
justamente encima del marco. Ahora, alinea el gancho de arriba en el soporte superior con la línea trazada a
lápiz y la muesca central (en la parte inferior del dicho soporte) con el punto central del vidrio de la puerta.
• Usa un nivel o la “línea testigo” como referencia, a n de asegurar que el soporte superior quede nivelado, y
marca las ubicaciones de los oricios en el centro de los seis espacios para tornillos (Fig. 4).
• Pretaladra los oricios marcados con la broca incluida (3/32”).
Consejo: Pudieras necesitar un clavo pequeño y martillo para marcar con golpe ligero y ayudar así a
taladrar en puertas de acero.
• Sostén el soporte superior en su lugar y utiliza los seis tornillos incluidos para jar aquel a la puerta (Fig. 4).
Consejo: A n de evitar daños a los tornillos, no uses un destornillador eléctrico para atornillar el soporte
en su lugar.
