Reverse impositioning
Inrollfedapplications,reversingtheimpositionordercanbeveryimportant,because,whendoneprop-
erly,thiscausestherolloutputbytheprintertohavethefirstpageontheoutsideoftheroll,allowing
therolltostartwiththefirstpage.
Ourexistingoptiontoreversetheorderofimpositioningisreversingtheorderoftheresultingimpos-
itionsheetsbystartingwiththelastsideofthelastsheet,andthengoingbackwards.Thiseffectively
turnsthestackupsidedown.Italsomeansthat,incaseofdupleximpositioning,allbacksidesbecome
frontsidesandviceversa.
TohaveaneffectivewayofreversingaStackbyColumnimpositionthatleavesthe“bycolumn”order
intact,butthatstartsatthelastpagesinthejob,wehaveaddedanewoptiontoreversetheimposition,
thatbasicallyreversestheincomingsheetorderbeforeimpositioning.Theeffectisthatnotonlyisthe
orderoftheimpositionsheetsreversed,buttheorderofthepagesonthesheetisalsoreversed.
