BydefaultthelogginglevelissetatthemidpointofInfo,butitcanbesethighertoincludemore
logging(All,Trace,Debug),orlowertoreducetheamountoflogging(Warning,Error).
Theloggingishierarchical,witheachLoggingLevelselectioncontainingalloftheLogging
Levelsbelowit.ThedefaultloggingInfoLevelcontainsallErrorandWarningentriesplusinform-
ationallogentries.
Caution: HigherloggingsettingswillhaveanimpactuponConnectproductionspeeds,aswell
asleadingtosubstantiallylargerlogfiles.
WerecommendedleavingtheloggingleveltoInfoandonlyusingthehigherlevelsofloggingin
conjunctionwithadvicefromOLsupport.

(Daily logs)orbaseduponsomepredeterminedharddiskusagelimitations(Size-based logs).
Theselectionareasfollows:

beforetheyaredeleted.

Number of days to retain logs:Thisvalueonlyimpactsuponhistoric(closed)logs.
Chosebetween1and99,999days.
Thedefaultvalueissetto10daysforanewinstallationand99,999daysonexisting
installations(topreservebackwardcompatibility).

Size-based logs:Usethissettingtorestrictlogfilesize,andtokeeponlyaspecifiednum-
berofthem.
Bycombiningthemaximizeindividuallogfilesizewiththeamountoflogfilestoretain,this
effectivelyallowsaharddiskspaceusagelimitationtobeplacedupontheloggingprocess.

theloggingsystemcreatesanewfile.
