Printers pane

ThePrinterspaneallowsyoutoaddorremoveprinterstothePrint Manager.Onceaprinterisadded

hereitwillbeavailableforusewithinthe"PrinterQueuepane"onpage895.

Thefollowinginformation(alleditableviathe"PrinterSettingsDialog"onthefacingpage)isdisplayed

foreachprinter:

l

Printer Name:Displaysthenameoftheprinter.

Thebackgroundcolorandtheicontotheleftoftheprinterindicatesthecurrentstatusofthe

queue.Thestatusoptionsare:

l

Green:Thequeueisactiveandanyjobsenttoitisimmediatelystreamedtotheprinter.

l

Yellow:Thequeueispausedandjobswillwaitbeforebeingstreamedtotheprinter.

l

Red:Theprinterisstoppedduetoaphysicalerror(suchasrunningoutoftoner)onthe

printer.

l

<> HotFolder :Displaysthepathsofanyhotfoldersthatareset.

l

<> IP Address:DisplayseithertheIPAddressormachinenameoftheIPDSprinter.

l

<> Port (IPDS Only):Displaystheporttheprintercommunicateson.

l

<> Queue (PCL and PostScript Only):Displaystheprintingfiletype.

l

<> Description:Displaysprinterdescription,ifoneexistsfortheprinter..

Add job to selected printer:Clicktoaddfile(s)totheprinterqueuefortheselectedprinter.

Thesejobswillthenappearinthequeueforthatprinterinthe"PrinterQueuepane"onpage895.

Add job with Page Range:Clicktoloadafiledirectlytotheprinterqueuewhilespecifyinga

pagerangetoprint.

l

Add Printer:Clicktoaddanewprinterusingthe"PrinterSettingsDialog"onthefacingpage.

l

Edit Printer:Clicktoeditthecurrentlyselectedprinterusingthe"PrinterSettingsDialog"on

thefacingpage.

l

Import Printer:ClicktoimportaPrinterdefinitionfromapreviouslysavedexternalfile.

l

Export Printer:ClicktosavecurrentPrinterdefinitiontoanexternalfile.

l Delete:Clicktodeletethecurrentlyselectedprinter.
