Installation Paths with Multi-Byte Characters
WheninstallingtheTraditionalChineseorJapaneseversionsofConnect,iftheuserspecifiesanaltern-
ativeinstallationpathcontainingmulti-byte/wide-charcharactersitcanbreaksomeofthelinkstothe
Connect-relatedshortcutsintheStartMenuandcauseanerrortoappearattheendoftheinstaller.
Theworkaroundforthemomentistousethedefaultinstallationpath.Theproblemwillbeaddressedin
alaterrelease.
Switching Languages
ChangingthelanguageusingtheWindow>Preferences>Language Settingmenuoptiondoesnot
currentlychangeallofthestringsintheapplicationtotheselectedlanguage.Thisisaknownissueand
willbefixedinalaterrelease.
Inthemeantimeweofferthefollowingworkaroundforanyonewhoneedstochangethelanguage:

Onlyoneoftheabovelanguagetagsshouldbeselected.Oncesaved,Connectwillappearintheselec-
tedlanguageatnextstart-up.
GoDaddy Certificates
WheninstallingConnectoffline,dialogsallowinstallingtheGoDaddycertificates.Mostusersshould
usethedefaultsettingsandclickNext.Insomecases,however,thismaynotworkcorrectly.Forthis
reasonthoseusersshouldactivatePlace all certificates in the following storeandthenselectthe
Trusted Root Certification Authoritiesasthetargetcertificatestore.
Available Printer Models
NotethatonlythesinglePrinterModel(GenericPDF)willappearontheAdvancedpageofthePrint
Wizardbydefault.
Toaddadditionalprintermodelsclickonthesettings buttonnexttotheModelselectionentrybox.
