The Comments tab is common to all tasks. It contains a text area (Task comments) that lets
you write comments about the task. These comments are saved when the dialog is closed with
the OK button, and are displayed in the Task Comments Pane.
Check the option Use as step description to display the text next to the icon of the plugin in
the Process area.
About related programs and services
Services are programs that run in the background and automatically perform tasks that often do
not require any user interaction. With the exception of the PReS Workflow Configuration tool,
all the programs used by PReS Workflow are run as service applications. PReS Workflow can
thus use them as required without the need for any user interaction.
Although you can manually start and stop any service running on your computer, most of the
basic services used by the system are started and stopped automatically. In the case of PReS
Workflow and their related services, you typically use a command included in your PReS
Workflow Configuration program to start and stop most services. Opening and closing your
PReS Workflow Configuration program has no effect on these services.
The PReS Workflow Service Console, included in the PReS Workflow Tools ribbon, can be
used to monitor, start and stop PReS Workflow services (see "Users and configurations" on
page711 and "The PReS Workflow Service Console" on page818).
Services must use an account to be granted the permission to use the system’s resources and
objects. This information is included in the service's configuration and most services use the
Local System Account, which is granted access to all the system’s resources. All input and
output services used by PReS Workflow run under the same account. For more information on
services and system permissions, refer to Windows documentation. For more information on
how to configure the account used by the services, see "Workflow Services" on page822.
