Email Info
l
Email information group:
l
Sender Address:Enter the email address that appears in the "From"field of the
email. This email address overrides the "From" email address that was set in the
template, unless the option Precedence to template address is checked (see
below).
l
Mail host:Enter the address of the SMTPserver through which emails should be
routed. This information should be available from your ITstaff. A port number can be
added, separated by a colon (for example: smtp.gmail.com:587).
l
Send emails to sender (test mode):Check to ignore the email address from each
record and send all emails to the address entered in the Sender Address field
instead.
l
Precedence to template address: If the template specifies a "From" address, that
value gets precedence over the specified Sender Address. The Sender Address will
then only be used if the template does not specify a value of its own.
With this option checked, it is allowed to leave the Sender Address field empty.
Note
When no Sender Address is specified in both the Create Email Content task
and the template, sending the email will fail with an error (W4240 - Invalid e-
mail address format for sender).
l
Use Authentication: Check to enable authentication to the SMTPserver.
l
user name: Enter a user name that has permission to send email through the
SMTPserver.
l
Password: Enter the password for the above user name.
l
Start TLS: Check to connect to the SMTPserver using TLS(also called
"SSL").
