Table Of Contents
Check the option Use as step description to display the text next to the icon of the plugin in
the Process area.
The tab also provides an option to highlight the task in "The Process area" on page769 with
the default color, set in the Preferences (see "General appearance preferences" on page659),
or the color selected or defined under Highlight color on this tab.
To revert the selected highlight color to the default color, open this tab, turn the Highlight option
off and close the dialog with the OK button; then turn highlighting back on.
Highlighting can also be turned on and off via the task's contextual menu and with the Highlight
button on the View ribbon.
Create Print Content
The Create Print Content task generates a set of printable content items from a template's
Print Context, and saves those content items in the database until output creation is requested.
This task also accepts a PDF/VT file as input (see "Create PDF/VT" on page540), allowing the
task to be used without a Connect Template.
Input
This task can receive either Metadata containing information regarding a valid Record Set, or
JSON data, or a PDF/VT File (see "Create PDF/VT" on page540).
Metadata
The "Execute Data Mapping" on page555 task and the "Retrieve Items" on page567 task
output Metadata containing information regarding a Record Set.
JSON
The Create Print Content task supports two types of JSON:
l A JSON object or an array of JSON objects representing records. If a value in a record
object is a string, it is considered to be a field value. If a value in a record object is a
JSON object, it is considered to be a nested table with detail records. For examples, see
"JSON string samples" on page544.
l A JSON Record Data List (see the REST API Cookbook and "JSON Record Data List
example" on page82). When the "Retrieve Items" on page567 task is set to output
Records in JSON, it outputs this kind of JSON data.
