Send to Folder Output Task Properties
Send to Folder output tasks send the files they receive to a local folder. They perform the same function as Send to Folder
action tasks, with the only difference being that in this case, the PlanetPress Suite Workflow Tools will not wait for the task to
be completed before going on to the next task in the configuration.
The following describes the properties specific to Send to Folder output tasks. For information on those properties shared by
various types of tasks, such as Other and On error properties, refer to Configurations, Processes and Tasks.
Send to Folder output task properties are as follows:
General tab
l Folder: Enter the path of the folder to which the files are to be saved.
l File name: Enter the name of the output files generated by this task. To prevent each new file from overwriting the
previous one, you should use variable names. As with any variable property box, you can use any combination of text,
variables and data selections.
l Concatenate files: If this option is selected, when PlanetPress Suite Workflow Tools tries to save the job file under
an existing name, it appends the content of the new job file to that of the existing file, instead of overwriting it.
l When using a fully composed document in a PDF emulation mode, setting a
Send to Folder
output task provides the
opportunity to logically merge PDF outputs by checking the
Concatenate files
box.
l Note that concatenating PDF in a
PlanetPress Suite Workflow Tools
environment will result in what is called a physical
merge; this means the resulting output will not be a valid PDF file.
l Separator string: This option is used to add a separator string between the content of each file when the Con-
catenate files option is selected.
On Error Tab
The On Error Tab is common to all tasks. Details can be found on "Task Properties Dialog" (page 53).
Output to SharePoint Action Task Properties
The Output to SharePoint Action Task can be used to send files to an existing Microsoft SharePoint server.
The Output to SharePoint Action Task has the following properties:
General Tab
l SharePoint Site:The name of the SharePoint site where you want to send the files. You can click on the Refresh but-
ton to display a list of sites on your SharePoint server.
l Document Library:The document library where you want to send the files. You can click on the Refresh button to
display a list of libraries on the SharePoint site selected previously.
l Folder:The folder location in the document library where your files will be sent. You can click the Browse button to dis-
play your folder structure. In the Browse Folders dialog, click on the folder you want to use and click OK.
l Force folder creation:If the folder does not exist, it will be created.
l Error if the file name exists:Task will generate an error if the filename is already there.
l Mark the document as checked in:Sets the "Checked in"property of the document on the SharePoint server.
l Configure Fields:Opens the Configure SharePoint Metadata Fields dialog.
Configure SharePoint Metadata Fields dialog
This dialog lets you setup the information you want to assign to the SharePoint Metadata information. It contains one line for
each field present in the SharePoint document library.
