Load External File Action Properties
Load External File Action tasks are used to replace the current job file by the designated text file. Loading an external file does
not delete the original file or modify it in any way.
Load External File action task properties are as follows:
General tab
l External file: The path to the file you want the job file to be replaced with. You may browse to the file using the
browse button on the right of the field.
On Error Tab
The On Error Tab is common to all tasks. Details can be found on "Task Properties Dialog" (page 53).
Rename Action Task Property
Rename action tasks are used to rename the job files they receive. Note that you can see how each file is renamed via the
Object Inspector when stepping through a process in Debug mode.
Rename action task property is as follows:
General tab
l New file name: Enter the job file’s new name. In this variable property box, you may enter static characters, var-
iables, job information elements, data selections, or any combination of these.
On Error Tab
The On Error Tab is common to all tasks. Details can be found on "Task Properties Dialog" (page 53).
Set Job Infos and Variables Action Task Properties
Add Set Job Infos and Variable action tasks to set job info elements as well as custom variables. You can set multiple variables
and job info values in a single task. Be aware that lines are processed from top to bottom.
Set Job Infos and Variables action task properties are as follows:
General tab
l Var/Info#: Lists all job infos, local variables in the current process and global variables in the configuration. Click on
the variable you want to change.
l Value: Enter the value that you want to associate with the selected job information element or custom variable.
l
button:Adds a new line and lets you define the variable and value to set.
l
button:Removes the line that is currently selected (highlighted).
l
button: Moves the line up so it is processed before.
l
button: Moves the line down so it is processed after.
