Stepping Improvements
IncomplexDataMappingconfigurations,theStepspanecancontainhundredsofsteps.Thismadethe
interfacesluggishwhenthenavigatingfromsteptostep.Accordingly,theinterfacehasbeenmodified
toredrawmuchmorequicklythanitusedto.
Visuallyspeaking,thedottedlinesthatusedtoconnecteachStephavebeenreworkedtonowusefull
linesthataredrawndirectlyontothedisplay.Tomatchthenewlook,allStepiconshavebeen
redesigned.
Inadditiontothosevisualelements,thebackgroundprocesseshavealsobeenoverhauledtoreduce
thenumberofrefreshoperationsoccurringwhileworkingintheDataMapper.
Find functionality added to Steps
TheStepspanenowincludesaFindoptionthatfetchesalistofstepswhosedescriptioncontainsthe
charactersenteredintheFindbox(caseinsensitive).
TheresultsaredisplayednexttotheFindbox,andonecanclickontheNext/Previousmatchbuttons
toimmediatelyjumptothenext/previousstepwithinthelistofmatches.
XML Performance Improvements
TheXMLViewerhasbeencompletelyoverhauledresultinginamuchmoreresponsiveinterface.Itis
nowpossibletoscrollthroughextremelylargerecords(i.e.thousandsofelements)aseasilyasone
wouldatextfile.Butthechangesarenotlimitedtotheinterface.Underthehood,theXMLdatamap-
pingoperationhasalsobeengreatlyimproved,withtheresultthatXMLdatamappingoperations
shouldrunsignificantlyfaster,especiallyforlargerrecords.
XML boundaries
XMLboundariesnowcanbesplitonvariableelementnames.Thissolutionaddstheabilitytospecify
anXPATHstatementastheboundary,insteadofafixedelementname.TheXPATHstatementsup-
portsdynamicvalues,allowingtheboundariestoadjustdynamicallytovaluespassedbyWorkflow.
