Username: Enter the database login username.
Note
It is considered best practice for this user to have root privileges.

Password: Enter the password associated with selected username.
l
Confirm password: Re-enter the user password.
l
Advanced Connection Settings selections:
l
Maximum concurrent connections: This number is based upon the cores
available on the machine. The default number should suffice in most instances.
l
Custom database parameters table: These are extra parameters which are
appended to the database connection URL. The default values are those which
have been determined to be useful in connecting to specific vendor databases.
l
Property:These are free field text fields.
Note
These fields and their associated values get appended to the JDBC
connection and therefore must follow all rules regarding acceptable
URLaddresses for such.
l
Value:The value applied to the associated Property.
l
Add: Used to add extra Property values to the table.
l
Delete:Used to remove existing Property values from the table.
l
Test Connection:Use to test if current connection settings will connect to the specified
database.
l
Restore Defaults: Will restore the settings to PlanetPress Connect HyperSQLstandard
defaults.
l
Apply:When a database connection is confirmed as correct this button becomes active,
and is used to actually apply the database swap.
