System requirements
Capture OnTheGo - version 2021.1 - requires iOS 11 or higher on Apple devices, Android OS
5.0 or higher on any Android device and Windows 10.
Ports used
Which port is used by the app depends on which server it is connecting to. (See "How it works"
on page12 for an explanation.)
l
The COTG app uses port 443 when connecting to NuBook's Capture OnTheGo server to
get access to the tickets (document metadata). The COTG Server URL is https://svc-
us.tureonth.com/WS/depot.ws.
l The app makes a single call that retrieves the names of all worldwide COTG servers,
which is done on port 80.
l For communication with the Workflow server the COTG app uses the port designated in
Workflow's preferences (defaults: 8080 for the HTTP Server or 9090 for the NodeJS
Server, with corresponding HTTPS ports). If the app is on a device that is given only
restricted access to internet, whatever URL is used for Workflow must be whitelisted too.
From Workflow, all communications to the COTG Server are through HTTPS, so port 443.
Connect to localhost with COTG on Windows 10
In order to test the solution in its entirety, you may want to run the Capture OnTheGo app, OL
Connect Workflow and Designer on one PC (or Virtual Machine).
Windows 10 has built-in restrictions on applications that need to send data to the same
computer. These restrictions apply to the App when it tries to submit form data to Workflow on
the same computer. By default, this won’t work and you’ll get a message in Capture OnTheGo
stating it cannot connect to the destination.
Therefore, if you're on Windows 10, you will need to go through some additional steps in order
to use localhost with the Capture OnTheGo App.
The change is permanent, so you only have to perform this procedure once.
