OPERATION 1. Ballhead Operation Refer to the included Ballhead Instruction Manual. 2. Leg Length Adjustment A twist-lock design allows you to quickly change the height of each telescopic tripod leg. To adjust the height of a leg, turn the twist-lock 3/4 of a turn counterclockwise to loosen it, position the leg at the desired height, and turn the twist-lock clockwise until the leg is securely locked in place. 3.
OPERATION 4. Center Column Adjustment The sliding center column can be used to adjust the height of the camera. Fully extending the center column after the legs have been fully extended will place the camera at the highest position possible with this tripod. Turn the center column twist lock counterclockwise, adjust the center column to the desired height, and lock it in place by turning the center column twist lock clockwise.
OPERATION 5. Low-Angle Setup (continued) 2. Turn the center column twist lock counterclockwise to unlock the center column. Remove the center column from the tripod. 3. Reverse the center column and insert it up through the bottom of the tripod top plate. 4.Slide the center column into the desired position. Turn the center column twist lock clockwise to lock it at the desired height. SPLIT the center column 1.
OPERATION 4. Put the main column aside. Tighten the Allen screw with the Allen wrench so that the screw is flush with the surface of the center column. Insert the short column into the tripod and adjust to the height you desire. Tighten the center column twist lock securely. Note: Extending the center column may leave the tripod less stable. 6. Folding Legs For the most compact storage and transport of your tripod, the legs can be folded up 180°.
OPERATION 8. Spiked Feet Two styles of spiked feet are used for this series of tripods. In each case, the rubber non-skid feet are for use indoors or on flat surfaces, while the spikes are for soft ground, grass, sand, and uneven terrain. A. Retractable spiked feet A spike is built into each of the tripod’s rubber feet. To change from a rubber foot to a spiked foot, rotate the rubber pad at the bottom of the foot clockwise until the spike is fully exposed.
