PLASTIC CLEANOUT PLUG

Ensure threads on cleanout are clean and free of debris.
Apply an approved Oatey thread sealant to the threads
of the Plastic Cleanout Plug.
Screw the Plastic Cleanout Plug into the cleanout opening until hand tight.
Using a pipe wrench or adjustable split ring pliers, nish tightening the Plastic Cleanout Plug in place.
Test to verify that the installation of the Plastic Cleanout Plug has created a watertight seal. Run
water from the nearest xture on the same pipe run that the cleanout is located and visually
inspect for leaks.
If a leak occurs repeat steps 1-5 until a watertight seal is achieved.
