WARNING
To reduce risk of personal injury, fan should not be used where small children can reach it. Close
supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
Do not operate the fan in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
Do not operate the fan if the product malfunctions, is dropped or damaged in any manner.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire because batteries may explode or leak.
Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
To protect against electrical shock, do not use in a window, immerse unit or spray with liquid.
When using this fan with an AC adapter, use indoors only.
Do not operate the fan with a damaged adapter. The adapter is intended to be correctly oriented with
a vertical or floor mount position.
To avoid personal injury and property damage, use only with adapter rated 12 VDC 500mA.
Do not stick fingers or other objects inside the fan grill.
CAUTION
Install batteries with the proper polarity (+ and -). There is a risk of explosion or leakage if batteries
are incorrectly installed.
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-
cad, ni-mh, etc) batteries.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. For best performance, use fresh alkaline batteries (D size, 8 required).
2. Uses 8D batteries (not included) or UL Listed 12 VDC 500mA output AC adapter (included
for indoor use only). Adapter jack is located on the right hand side of the fan (see Fig. 1).
3. To open battery covers, turn fan upside down. Using the arrows, slide the two battery
compartments open and lift up (see Fig. 1). Install 8D batteries following (+) and (-)
markings on the battery compartment (see Fig. 2). Please refer to numerical battery order
for easy installation.
4. To select speed, slide switch on side of the fan UP for HIGH (II) and DOWN for LOW (I).
Center position is OFF (O).
5. If fan does not operate, check that batteries are installed properly.
PRODUCT NOTE
Please turn off fan when not in use. Remove batteries if consumed or if product is to be left unused for a long time.
Remove batteries for storage. There are no user-serviceable parts in this product. Do not disassemble. To clean,
use a soft, damp cloth to gently wipe the fan clean. Do not immerse the fan in water and never allow water to drip
into the fan housing.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If fan does not operate, check that batteries are installed properly. If fan does not operate with AC Adapter, check
that fan is turned ON, that plug is fully inserted into the jack and that the wall receptacle is powered ON.
