Adjusting pictures and video according to lighting conditions
To ensure the best possible colour in your photos and video clips, you need to adjust the camera according
to your environment. You do this using the White Balance setting.
You simply select the setting that matches the light conditions, as shown in the table below.
Lighting environment White Balance setting
Indoors (under normal domestic lamps) Incandescent – to avoid yellowing
Indoors (fluorescent or office lighting) Fluorescent
Outdoors (in bright conditions) Daylight
Outdoors (overcast conditions) Cloudy
If you are not sure of the setting to select, try Automatic.
Choosing where pictures are saved
You can set the default location where pictures are to be saved. If you select main memory, pictures are
saved to permanent storage on your phone, which may mean you have to re-think the storage needs of
your other programs.
1. Press Option > Settings.
2. Use [
/ ] to select Advanced Settings
3. Press General Settings > Storage, and then select the setting you want.
4. Press Done.
Creating a Pictures folder
You can create separate folders to help you organise and store your pictures and images.
1. On the home screen, press Start > All Programs > Applications > File Explorer > My Pictures.
2. Press Menu > Edit > New Folder.
Editing a picture
You can actually edit pictures and videos on the Xda Venn using the Menu.
1. On the home screen, press Start > All Programs > Applications > File Explorer > My Pictures.
2. Select the picture to edit > [OK].
3. Press Menu > Edit > [OK]. Do one of the following:
To rotate a picture 90 degrees clockwise, press Menu > Rotate.
To crop a picture, press Menu > Crop. Then, position the cursor to mark the upper left corner of the
picture. Press Next, then position the cursor to mark the lower right corner of the picture. Press Finish
to see the cropped picture.
To auto correct a picture, press Menu > Auto Correct. Press Done.
TIP: To undo an edit, press Menu > Undo. To cancel all unsaved edits youve made to the picture,
press Menu > Cancel.
