Setting Trafc Limit Notications
Set up trafc limit notications if you would like to be notied when a certain trafc limit is
reached. Set up to 3 daily and 3 monthly limits, and the trafc amount can cover megabytes,
kilobytes, or a percentage from the daily/monthly inclusive. Once your trafc reaches one of
these limits, a notication window will appear saying that the limit has been reached.
1. Select the Start menu > Programs > GPRS Monitor.
2. Choose Options from the Tools menu.
3. Enable warnings on the Day warn and Month warn tabs. You can set up to 3 daily and 3
monthly warnings.
The Today Plug-In
When you turn on your Pocket PC Phone for the rst time each day (or after 4 hours of
inactivity), you will see the Today screen, displaying all important information at a glance.
By default, GPRS Monitor puts a box there that displays the information about today's data
connection usage and lets you manage power settings of your Pocket PC Phone. This is
called the Today plug-in. To customize the GPRS Monitor Today plug-in:
1. Select the Start menu > Settings > the Personal tab > Today.
2. On the Items tab, select GPRS Monitor from the list and tap the Options button.
The following conguration options are available:
n Refresh every ... seconds: Denes the frequency of the plug-in indicators update.
n Trafc status for ... : Lets you select whether to show trafc amounts/costs for today, this
week, this month or current session.
You can also see the following items on the GPRS Monitor Today plug-in:
n Brightness Panel: Lets you control your Pocket PC Phone's screen backlight level.
n Battery Panel: Lets you control your Pocket PC Phone's screen backlight level.
n Connection Status Icon: Indicates whether your connection is up or down and lets you
connect or disconnect it.
n Pocket Internet Explorer Icon: Lets you open Pocket IE in one tap.
n Inbox Icon: Lets you open the Inbox application.
Using the GPRS Monitor Applications
The GPRS Monitor applications gives you an ability to see the reports on your network
connection usage. You can see both trafc and costs charts and reports as well as export
the reports to CSV les that can be opened with Microsoft® Excel, Microsoft Access,
and similar spreadsheet and database software.
