9.11 Spb GPRS Monitor
Spb GPRS Monitor reports date transfer amounts per certain period of time, logs daily/
monthly/yearly data transfer amounts, compares the collected data against pre-dened
data trafc (tariff) rates, and performs some other activities that help you to maintain your
cellular phone account.
Setting up Spb GPRS Monitor
You will initially need to select the connection you wish to monitor:
1. Select the Start menu > Programs > Spb GPRS Monitor.
2. Choose Options from the Tools menu.
3. Select the Connection tab. You will see a list of congured connections. Select the one
you would like to monitor and check the Enable connection monitoring box.
The Taskbar icon
The GPRS Monitor Taskbar icon provides important information about your network con-
nection and power status. This icon shows the speed bar, the GPRS data block usage bar,
and the battery power bar.
The Pop-Up Window
The Pop-Up Window shows you all the necessary information about the current state of
your GPRS network connection.
The Today plug-in
The Today Plug-in shows your connection statistics, battery power, and allows you to adjust
screen backlight level. It also acts as GPRS Monitor main application launcher. The plug-in
also allows you to establish/nish connection by pressing Connect/Disconnect button.
Select a connection to monitor:
1. Select the Start menu > Programs > GPRS Monitor.
2. Choose Options from the Tools menu.
3. Open the Connection tab. You will see a list of congured connections. Select the one you
would like to monitor and then check the Enable connection monitoring box.
GPRS Monitor supports multiple proles. If you usually use roaming, you may consider
setting up several proles, each representing one provider or tariff.
