Installing LTIB and the MPC8568E-MDS-PB
Board Support Package
To install the LTIB tools framework and the MPC8568E-MDS-PB board support
package, follow these steps:
1. Login to your Linux PC without root privileges.
2. Open a terminal window.
3. Put the BSP installation CD in the CD-ROM drive of your PC running Linux.
The system automatically mounts the CD.
If the system does not mount the CD automatically, enter this command:
mount /media/cdrom -o exec
NOTE Your Linux distribution may require that you mount a CD on a directory other
than /media/cdrom.
For example, some distributions require that you use /mnt/cdrom. If you
cannot mount the CD using the command above, refer to your distribution’s
documentation for instructions.
4. Enter this command:
/media/cdrom/install
The LTIB install script starts.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install LTIB and the MPC8568E-MDS-PB board
support package.
6. To complete installation:
a. Change directories to
installDir /ltib
where
installDir is the path in which you installed the LTIB tools framework.
b. Enter this command:
./ltib
Installation of LTIB and the MPC8568E-MDS-PB board support package
completes.
