4. Follow the wizard’s on-screen instructions to install the QUICC Engine Utility and the
Netcomm Device Drivers software.
During installation, you may want to specify an alternate installation directory and
must accept the displayed license agreements.
5. When the Install Wizard displays its installation complete page, click Finish.
The Install Wizard exits. Installation of the QUICC Engine utility and of the Netcomm
Device Driver package is complete.
Using the QUICC Engine™ Utility
To demonstrate what the QUICC Engine Utility can do, this section walks you through the
Ethernet use case, one of the use cases included in the QEU product.
To enact the Ethernet use case, follow these steps:
1. Start the QUICC Engine utility.
To do this, select Start > Programs > Freescale > Proprietary Netcomm Device
Driver Release 2.0 > CodeWarrior QUICC Engine Utility from the Windows
taskbar.
The QEU starts and displays its main window (Figure 5.2
).
