Installation Procedure
NOTE The installer for the Netcomm Device Driver package installs:
- The QUICC Engine utility
- The Netcomm device drivers
As a result, if you have already installed the Netcomm Device Drivers package,
you can skip the procedure below.
To install the CodeWarrior QUICC Engine Utility, follow these steps:
1. Put the installation Development Kit Disk in the CD drive of your Windows PC.
2. Choose the Netcomm Device Driver folder.
Two subfolders are displayed:
• Proprietary Netcomm Device Driver — contains full, proprietary bare board BSP
• Proprietary and GPL Netcomm Device Driver — contains the above release plus
GPL PCI and USB stacks
NOTE The following steps explains how to install the proprietary version; however,
you can use the same procedure to install the proprietary and GPL version.
3. Double click the exe file you want to download.
The Install Wizard initializes itself (this may take a while) and then displays its
welcome page (Figure 5.1
).
