Using the CodeWarrior™
QUICC Engine™ Utility
This chapter explains how to install and use the CodeWarrior QUICC Engine Utility.
The QUICC Engine Utility (QEU) is a GUI-based tool that speeds and simplifies the
initialization and configuration of the drivers, device, microcode, and communications
protocols managed by the MPC8568E device. The QEU provides an easy-to-use
environment for handling common QUICC Engine initialization tasks.
In addition, the QEU lets you configure use cases included in the Netcomm Device Driver
package. These use cases let you adapt working code to suit your needs. Further, the use
cases demonstrate how to use the device driver API.

NOTE You must use CodeWarrior for Power Architecture Processors, v8.7 with the
QUICC Engine Utility, v2.0.
Using CodeWarrior for Power Architecture v8.8 with the QUICC Engine
Utility, v2.0 is not supported.
