Registering and Licensing Your CodeWarrior™ Product

To register and license your CodeWarrior product, follow these steps:
1. Start a web browser.
2. Go to this web address:
http://www.freescale.com/cwregister
The Licensing and Registration page of the CodeWarrior licensing and registration
system appears.
3. Click the Registration and Activation link.
The Registration and Activation page appears.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions on this page.
A license file (license.dat) is copied to your development machine.
5. If you installed the Windows-hosted tools, copy license.dat to the directory in
which you installed these tools.
NOTE The default installation directory for the Windows-hosted CodeWarrior tools
is: C:\Program Files\Freescale\CodeWarrior PA V8.x
6. If you installed the Linux-hosted tools, copy license.dat to the
CodeWarrior IDE/CodeWarrior subdirectory of the directory in which you
installed these tools.
NOTE The default installation directory for the Linux-hosted CodeWarrior tools is:
/usr/local/Freescale.
Your CodeWarrior product is ready to use.
NOTE To register your product, you need an entitlement ID. If you do not have this ID
and believe you are entitled to a permanent license, please go to
http://www.freescale.com/support. On this page,
open a service request, using Category “Technical Request” and Topic
“License Issues.”
