material when shipped in Non-Bulk quantities (i.e., less-than 119

Other Shipping Information: Per Special Provision A197, when transported in single or
combination packagings containing a net quantity per
single or inner packaging of 5L or less for liquids, these
substances are not subject to any other provisions of the
IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations provided the
packagings meet the following provisions:
Packages must be of good quality and strong enough to
withstand the shocks and loadings normally encountered in
transport.
Packages must be constructed and closed to prevent loss of
contents which might be caused by normal conditions of
transport, by vibration, or by changes in temperature, humidity,
or pressure.
Packages, including inner packages, must be closed in
accordance with information provided by the manufacturer.
The outside of the package must be free of any dangerous
residue.
Parts of the package that come in direct contact with the
dangerous good must not be affected or weakened by the
dangerous good, must not cause a dangerous effect, and must
not allow permeation of the dangerous good that could constitute
a danger under normal conditions of transport.
Packages filled with liquid must allow sufficient outage to prevent
leakage or permanent distortion of the packaging as a result of
an expansion of the liquid caused by temperatures likely during
transport. Liquids cannot completely fill a packaging at a
temperature of 55°C.
