Disarming the Security System (if equipped)
The 2-Way Remote Start and Vehicle Security System will be disarmed if any of the following
actions are taken.
1. Pressing the (Unlock Button) on the factory transmitter.
2. Entering in the “Unlock” code into the keypad located on the outside of the driver’s
door.
3. Opening the Trunk / Liftgate / Liftglass using the factory transmitter.
4. Turning the ignition “On”.
*Must have a valid key read if equipped.
If there were no vehicle intrusion attempts while the security system was armed, the
security LED will turn o when the security system is disarmed. If any vehicle intrusion
attempts were made while the security system was armed, the security LED will blink rapidly
and the horn will chirp 4 times when deactivating the security system. The security LED will
continue to blink until the ignition has been turned to the “ON” position.

Arming the Security System (if equipped)
The 2-Way Remote Start and Vehicle Security System may be armed using any of the 3
methods listed below.
1. By pressing the (Lock Button) on the factory transmitter.
2. By entering in the “Lock” code into the keypad located on the outside of the driver’s
door.
3. By pressing the (Remote Start Button) on the 2-Way Remote Start transmitter 2 times.
Note: This method will remote start your vehicle and disable the security
system shock sensor during the remote start run cycle.
The parking lights will ash and the security LED will illuminate for 20 seconds, indicating
that the system is in a “pre-arm” mode. After the 20 seconds of “pre-arm” mode has expired,
the security system will arm, the security LED will begin to “blink” and all closed entry
points, including the hood (if closed) will be protected.
If an entry point or the hood is left open, the security system will continue to ignore that
entry point until it is closed.
