Using Valet/Service Mode
Valet/Service Mode is used to prevent the system from unexpectedly starting the engine while being serviced. The system will
chirp the horn 3 times if an attempt is made to activate the remote start system.
To Engage Valet/Service Mode: Turn the ignition to the ON position, by pressing the Start button on the dashboard 2 times with a
factory Smart key transmitter inside the vehicle, without pressing the brake pedal.
Once the ignition is turned on, press and hold the brake pedal and press the
button 3 times within 5 seconds. The system will
chirp the horn once with each transmitter button press and 3 additional times indicating the system has entered Valet/Service Mode.
To Exit Valet/Service Mode (Return the system to its normal operating mode): Turn the ignition to the ON position, by pressing
the Start button on the dashboard 2 times with a factory Smart key transmitter inside the vehicle, without pressing the brake pedal.
Once the ignition is turned on, press and hold the brake pedal and press the
button 3 times within 5 seconds. The system will
chirp the horn once with each transmitter button press and 1 additional time indicating the system has exited Valet/Service Mode.
Important Note: When taking your vehicle to the dealer for service, it is recommended that you inform the service personnel that
your vehicle is equipped with a Remote Start System.
