Advanced Edit mode
This is new to PDF Converter Professional 8; in addition to the
traditional mode of working, now known as PDF View, the Advanced
Edit mode allows freer editing of document content, in particular, its
text. It offers a wide range of editing, reviewing and marking-up tools,
similar to those found in word processor programs. See the Help topic
Advanced Edit Toolbars. Finalize your edits when ready and navigate to the
PDF View, where you can save, print or send the document with all
changes intact.
Connectors
Open files from popular cloud services, such as Dropbox, Evernote,
PaperPort Anywhere or others via the Nuance Cloud Connector. Results
can be returned to these sites.
Collaboration
This cloud-based service opens the door to multi-user editing of PDF
files, document sharing, screen sharing, chat and voice conferencing.
This feature is provided by a Nuance partner. When the program is first
launched you are prompted to sign in. Click the 'New account' link,
enter an e-mail address and a password to be used at each sign-in.
Document Security
To modify the security settings for your document, click Document >
Document Properties and choose the Security tab. This will always
display your current settings. You can choose to protect your document
by passwords or certificate security at different levels.
Windows Desktop Search
Microsoft offers a Windows Desktop Search facility, to search through
files of different types in specified folders. PDF Converter Professional
provides WDS with the added benefit of including PDF files in these
searches - this includes image-only PDFs.
Searching and Indexing Documents
Carry out text searches in the currently open PDF, all PDFs in a given
folder or on a pre-built index file. Searches can be done using a single
string, multiple search strings, patterns or masks. Use the Organizer to
