USING SIMPLESEARCH TO FIND AN ITEM
PaperPort’s SimpleSearch features help you find scanned items. For
example, if you recall the item’s title or keywords, PaperPort can find the
item based on that information. However, PaperPort also reads the
entire text content of each scanned item and can find items based on any
words and phrases in the content. To use this powerful search feature,
make sure that the Content checkbox is selected in the Find Item dialog
box.
To use SimpleSearch to find an item in a folder:
■ Click a folder to
see the items in it.
You can also click
the Browse
button to see all
the items in all
the folders.
1. In Desktop View,
choose Find Item
from the Search
menu.
2. Type the text to
identify the item.
3. Select one or more
checkboxes to
identify where to
search for the text.
4. Select the buttons
to find just the
first, or all items
that have that text.
Click OK.
