Page Navigator The buttons you click on the PaperPort
Desktop or the Page Viewer to move from page
to page in a stack or to go to a specific page.
Page Viewer A PaperPort application that you use to display
a close-up view of one page, annotate a page,
and edit an image.
paper insertion delay The amount of time that elapses after a page is
inserted into the scanner and before it actually
grabs the item and begins scanning.
paper return The sliding top on the scanner that you adjust
to send scanned pages either straight through or
back toward you when scanning.
PaperPort Desktop The overall view of PaperPort items displayed as
thumbnails (small graphic representations) or
displayed as a list on the PaperPort Desktop.
PCX file A graphics file format used by many popular
paint programs, such as PC Paintbrush.
Pointer tool The tool on the Annotation Tool Bar for
selecting an annotation.
resolution The sharpness of an image, measured in dots per
inch (dpi). The higher the dpi, the greater the
resolution.
scan To convert a printed page into a bitmapped
image or file with the use of a scanner.
ScanDirect A PaperPort feature that lets you scan an item
directly to a target application, such as your
electronic fax software, word processor, or
image editor.
