The Manual Update radio button is the default. With this
selected, you must remember to run the Update tool manually.
Select the Automatic Update radio button, then program a day
and time for the database to be updated automatically.
☞ Updates that involve a large number of scanned documents or
other image files can take considerable time and computer
resources. Therefore, it is preferable to schedule updates when
you are away from your computer.
Update Search Database command
To update a database, click on the database name in the Search
Database Manager, then select the Update Search Database
command. This displays an Update Pagis Search Databases
progress dialog box.
This dialog box continually shows the progress of the indexing
process (estimating the percentage completed). It also lists the
complete path name of each file as it is being indexed.
A message informs you when the update is complete. Click OK.
