Managing Database Records
Managing an OmniForm Database - 196
6 Fill in as many fields as you like.
7 Click the New button in the standard toolbar or choose
Go To
in
the Records menu and
New
in its cascading menu.
OmniForm creates and displays a new, empty record with the
same form design as the first one.
8 Fill in this record with the appropriate information.
9 Continue to create new records in this way as you need.
Duplicating Records
You can duplicate any record in a database as long as it has information
entered in at least one field. This is useful if you want to create records
that will contain much of the same information.
A form with fields filled only by automatic calculations (such as a date
field) is still considered empty by OmniForm. You must fill at least one
field manually before you can create a new record.
You cannot duplicate a record if data protection is turned on. See
“Protecting Your Database” on page 217 for information.
