Dictation Mode
InDictationmode,youcanbothdictatetexttobetypedandissuecommandsto
beobeyed.MacSpeechDictatewilltypewhatyousay,interpretingyourwordsas
dictation,unlessitrecognizeswhatyousayasacommand.
Ingeneral,if youspeaksmoothlyandcontinuously,MacSpeechDictatewillin-
terpretyourwordsasdictation,evenif theyincludewordsthatmightbeacom-
mand.If youpausebeforeandafteraphrase,ontheotherhand,MacSpeech
Dictatewillconsiderthatphraseasapossiblecommand.

Youshouldtrynottomakeanyextraneousnoises,butMacSpeechDictatewill
doitsbesttoignorethewell-knownhesitationnoises“ah”,“er”,“uh”,and
“um”.(Infact,youmayhavetouseSpellingmodetotypesuchitems.)
