affectit.Theonlychangeyoucanmakeistoturnthemicrophoneon,andthe
onlywaytodothatisusingthemouseorkeyboard.
miCroPhone on.MacSpeechDictateislistening,andhowitrespondsto
yourspeechdependsonwhatmodeitisin.

pretyourwordsasalimitedsetof lettersandpunctuation,andtypesthose
lettersandpunctuationattheinsertionpointinthefrontmostdocument.If
MacSpeechDictatecan’tinterpretyourwordsasacommandoraslettersand
punctuation,nothinghappens.
Command mode.If MacSpeechDictatecaninterpretyourwordsasacom-
mand,itobeysthecommand.Otherwise,nothinghappens.Youcangive
