soonsettleonafavoritewayof working(whichmightdependonexternalfactors,

How to Train
TheRecognitionwindowpresentsalternative interpretationsof thephrase
containingthecurrentselectionorinsertionpointinthedictationdocument.The
rstalternativeistheinterpretationthatMacSpeechDictateenteredinthedocu-
ment.Thenumberof additionalalternativesislimitedbyyoursettingfor“Maxi-
mumnumberof alternatives”intheRecognitionPreferencespane.
YoucanusetheRecognitionwindowtotrainwhat you just dictated,becausethe
insertionpointisstillattheendof thatphrase,sothatisthephraseshowninthe
Recognitionwindow.Youcanalsoselect a dictated phrase(usingDictationmodenavi-
gationcommands);if MacSpeechDictatestillhascacheddictationinformationfor
thispartof thedocument,theRecognitionwindowwillchangetoshowalterna-
tivesforthatphrase.
Thus,onewayof workingwiththeRecognitionwindowistotrainphrasesas
soon as you dictate them;anotheristodictatealargeramount,suchasa
