COMPOSING IMAGES
3 If you want add a shadow or fine-tune shadow settings, use the Shadow controls on
the Layer Transparency control. Choose Layers menu > Show/Hide Transparency Tools
to display the Layer Transparency control.Click the ribbed bar to open the Layer
Shadow Attributes control.
4 Click the check beside Cast Shadows to turn on a shadow for the selected layer.
Selecting Cast Shadows is the same as clicking Drop Shadow box next to that layer
in the Layers tray.
5 Use the Magnitude slider to adjust the shadow offset (how big the shadow is).
6 Use the Opacity slider to lighten or darken the shadow.
7 Use the Softness shadow to control shadow edges.

Move the Magnitude slider right to adjust the shadow’s offset.
Move the Opacity slider to adjust shadow opacity.
Move the Softness slider right to make the shadow edges softer.
