Chapter 3: Preparing for your server installation
Opening required ports
You must open the following ports to allow communication between components.
Port Location Description
389 TCP NMC
server
l Allows communication between the NMC server and your Active
Directory, if you are using single sign-on authentication.
443 NMC
server
l Allows communication between Dragon clients and the NMC
server.
l Allows communication between NMC console workstations and
the NMC server.
1433 Custom Database
server
l Allows communication between the NMC server and the
database server if they are on separate physical machines.
