Dragon Installation Guide

About database backups

If you are hosting your own NMC server on-premise, database backups occur on a regular basis at scheduled intervals

automatically. The backup process places backup files in the C:\NMSDBBACKUP folder on the database server by

default, unless you specified a different location during installation. The backup includes database objects, like sites

and groups, and includes the Windows communication foundation service logs generated for each user account.

Backups occur on the following schedule:

l Transaction log backup—Hourly

l Differential database backup—Daily at 2AM

l Full database backups—Weekly at 2AM

The database server retains one month of backups on disk. To retain more data, you must copy the files before the end

of the month, when the backup process deletes files older than one month.
