vocabulary.Totakeadvantageofthecustomlanguagemodel,contactthethirdpartyto
obtainanewversionofthevocabulary.
Step 1: Export custom words added to the custom vocabulary
Ifyouaddedanyadditionalcustomwordstothevocabularycreatedbyathirdparty,you
mustfirstexportthosewords.Toexportcustomwords:
n OntheDragonBar menu,selectVocabulary >Export custom word and
phrase list.ThisactiondisplaystheExport Custom Words dialogbox.
n Enterthepathandnameofthefilecontainingthecustomwordstoaddtothe
vocabularythatyouwanttocreate,oruseSave inlisttofindalocationforthe
fileyouwanttocreate.
Step 2: Upgrade a User Profile that uses a custom vocabulary
ToupgradeUserProfileswithathirdpartyvocabulary:
1. RuntheUser Profile Upgrade Wizard.Torunthewizard,selectDragon >Dragon
NaturallySpeaking Tools>Upgrade User Profiles.
2. IntheUser Profile Upgrade Wizard,selectaDragonUserProfilethatusesavocab-
ularyfromathirdparty.
3. ClickNext andfollowtheon-screenprompts.
TheUser Profile Upgrade Wizard displaystheoriginalvocabularydeployedtocreatethe
UserProfileandletsyouchooseaDragonNaturallySpeaking13basevocabularythatthe
User Profile Upgrade Wizard shouldassigntotheupgradedUserProfile.
Step 3: Import custom words to the upgraded User Profile
IfyouexportedwordsinStep1,younowmustimportthosewords.Toimportawordlist:
1. OntheDragonBar,clickVocabulary >Import list of words or phrases.Thisdis-
playstheAdd Words fromWord Lists wizard.
2. ClickNext toaddthefileyoucreatedinStep1.
Step 4: Export the customized vocabulary
YoucansharevocabulariesamongdifferentUserProfilesbyfirstexportingavocabulary
fromoneUserProfileandthenimportingittoanewUserProfile.Usethefollowing
proceduretoexportavocabulary.Toexportavocabulary:
1. Createafolderinwhichtosavetheexportedvocabularyfiles.
2. OpentheupgradedUserProfilethatusesthecustomvocabulary.
3. OntheDragonBar,selectVocabulary >Manage Vocabulariesorsay"Manage
Vocabularies."
4. IntheManage Vocabularies dialogbox,selectthevocabularyyouwanttoexportand
thenexportit.
5. Locateandopenthetargetfolder,enteranamefortheexportedvocabularyintheFile
Name box,andthensaveit.
6. IntheManage Vocabularies dialogbox,clickorsay"Close"tosaveandcloseit.
