IfyoucreatedanewnetworkdirectoryfortheDragonNaturallySpeaking13masterRoam-
ingUserProfiles,youcaneitherclicktheAdd buttontoaddthenewnetworklocationor
selectalisteddirectoryandthenclickEdittochangethepathtothenewlocation.When
youhavefinished,clickOKtoclosetheAdministrative Settings dialogbox.Youshould
alsoremoveanyDragon11.xor12.xmasterRoamingUserProfiledirectoriesthatarenot
inuse.

User Profile dialogbox.Ifyouallowend-userstoselectbothnon-roaminglocaland
RoamingUserProfiles,makesuretheyselectthecorrectlocation(theDragonNat-
urallySpeaking13RoamingUserProfilelocation)fromtheLocation of user profile field.
7. SelectaUserProfileandclickOpen.
Note:IfyoudidnotupgradetheRoamingUserProfilesandstoretheminthenewmaster
RoamingUserProfiledirectory,whenyouclickOpen,theUser profile needs to be
upgraded dialogboxappears.SinceyoucannotupgradeRoamingUserProfileslocally,you
shouldclickCancel andreturntoUpgradingmasterRoamingUserProfiles.IfyouclickOK
insteadofCancel,youreceiveamessagestatingYou cannot upgrade a roaming user
becauseyoucannotupgradeRoamingUserProfilesonaworkstationwheretheRoaming
featureison.
Upgrading User Profiles that use third-party vocabularies
VocabulariesCreatedbyaThirdParty(otherthanbyNuance)
Note: AnyinstallationcanusevocabulariesthatarenotprovidedbyNuance,but
createdbyathirdpartyspecificallyforaparticularinstallation.
Using a custom vocabulary from Dragon 10.x or earlier with Dragon 13
YoucannotuseacustomvocabularycreatedinDragon10.xorearlierwithDragon
NaturallySpeaking.YoumustrecreatethecustomvocabularyinDragonNaturallySpeaking.
IfyouhaveacustomvocabularyfromaNuanceVAR,youshouldcontacttheVARtoobtaina
newversionofthevocabulary.
Upgrading User Profiles with third party vocabularies
WhenyouupgradeaUserProfilewhosebasevocabularywascreatedbyathirdparty,all
customwordsandotherchangestothatvocabularywillbemaintainedbutthevocabulary's
basetypewillbechanged.Forexample,Dragon11.xor12.xUserProfilesthatusetheUS
English | Large | Nuance vocabularywithatopicIDof9005 areupgradedtousethe
General—Medium vocabulary;thatupgradedUserProfile'svocabularyalsocontainsall
customizationsintheDragon11.xor12.xvocabulary.
