systemthatusestheRoamingfeature.
Note:IfthereisnotimewhenalltheRoamingUserProfilesarenotinuse(forexample,ina
hospitalwheresomephysiciansuseDragonduringanightshift),administratorscan
upgradedifferentgroupsofRoamingUserProfilesatdifferenttimes.
Step 3: On the central network storage location for the current Master Roaming User Profiles
1. (Optional)BackupthemasterRoamingUserProfilestoaseparatelocation,eitherby
usinganysystembackuputilitythatisimplementedatyourfacilityorbyusingtheDragon
TheManage User Profiles dialog.
Note: YoudonotneedtobackuptheRoamingUserProfilesbecausetheupgraderetains
thecurrentUserProfilesinadirectorythatisseparatefromtheDragon
NaturallySpeaking13UserProfiles.
2. CreateanewdirectoryonthesharednetworkdrivetostoretheupgradedDragonNat-
urallySpeaking13MasterRoamingUserProfiles.Althoughyoucanstoretheupgraded
UserProfilesinthesamelocationasthecurrentUserProfiles—thiswouldmaketwover-
sionsofeachUserProfilevisibletotheend-userandleadtoconfusion—Nuancerecom-
mendcreatingalocationthatisdifferentfromthelocationthatstoresthecurrent(Dragon
11.xor12.x)UserProfiles.
Step 4: Copy the current Master Roaming User Profiles to the Dragon NaturallySpeaking13 cli-
ent computer
IfyouinstallDragonNaturallySpeaking13onthecomputerwheretheDragon11.xor12.x
MasterRoamingUserProfilesarelocated,thenproceedtoStep5below.
IfDragonNaturallySpeaking13isnotinstalledonthecomputerwheretheDragon11.xor
12.xMasterRoamingUserProfilesarelocated,performthefollowingstepsontheDragon
NaturallySpeaking13clientcomputer:
1. CreateadirectorytostorealltheMasterRoamingUserProfilesyouplantoupgrade.
2. CopytheDragon11.xor12.xMasterRoamingUserProfilesfromthenetworklocationto
thedirectory.
Step 5: On the administrator system where you plan to upgrade the Dragon 11.x or 12.x
Master Roaming User Profiles
1. StartDragonandmakesuretheRoamingfeatureisoff.
ToturnofftheRoamingfeature:
i. CloseanyopenUserProfiles.
ii. ClickAdministrative Settings ontheDragonBar Tools menu.Thisaction
displaystheAdministrative Settings dialogbox.
