MasterRoamingUserProfilesarelocatedoronanadministrator’sworkstation.For
moreinformation,seeRunningtheAcousticandLanguageModelOptimizerwitha
RoamingUserProfile.
Administrative Settings: Roaming tab
YouusetheRoaming taboftheAdministrative Settings dialogboxtosetuptheRoaming
feature.YoumustsetuptheRoamingfeatureoneachcomputerwhereyouwantend-users
todictatewithaRoamingUserProfile.
WhenRoamingisenabledinAdministrativeSettingsbydefaulttheOpenUserProfilesdialog
boxdisplayslargenumbersofUserProfilesquickly.Theycanalsobeorganizedinto
subfolders.See"CreatingsubfoldersforRoamingUserProfiles"intheDragonHelpformore
information.
Enable
Select Enable toactivatetheRoamingfeatureandtheRoamingUserProfileoptions.
Network Directories
TosetthelocationofthemasterRoamingUserProfile(s):
1. ClicktheAdd button.YouusetheRoaming User Network Location dialogboxto
definethenetworklocationofthemasterRoamingUserProfiles.Thelocationyoupick
mustbeaccessibletoallcomputersonthenetworkthatyouwantavailablefordictation
withDragon.
2. SettheDisplay Name andtheAddress underNetwork Location.TheRoamingfea-
turesupportsthefollowingtypesoflocations:
n MappedDrive—theformatis:<drive letter>:\<folder name>.Forexample,
y:\roaming.
n UNCPath—theformatis:\\servername\sharename\path\filename.
n HTTP(http:)theformatis:http://myserver.com/<name_of_
virtualdirectory>where<name_of_virtualdirectory>isthenameofthe
virtualdirectorysetupbyanadministratorduringsetupoftheIISor
Apachewebsite.ForHTTPlocations,clicktheHTTPSettingsbuttonto
setinformationspecifictoyourHTTPconnection.Youcanalsotestyour
connectiontotheHTTPserverfromtheHTTPSettingsdialogbox.

Whenanend-useropensaMasterRoamingUserProfile,Dragon transfersacopyofthat
UserProfiletothelocalcomputer.ThelocalcopyiscalledtheLocalRoamingUserProfile.
Youcanchangethesettingofthislocation,alwayscalled<Roaming Local>.
