profiles to be opened optionintheAdministrative Settings dialogbox.Clearingthis
optionpreventsend-usersfromdictatingwithanon-roaming(local)UserProfilebymistake.
Step 4: Set the location of Master Roaming User Profiles
Oneachcomputerwhereyouplantohaveend-usersdictatingasRoamingusers,youmust
tellthatinstallationofDragon wheretheMasterRoamingUserProfilesarelocated.
AfterselectingEnableontheRoaming tab:
1. ClicktheAdd button.TheRoamingUserNetworkLocationdialogboxdisplays.Youuse
theRoaming User Network Location dialogboxtodefinethenetworklocationofthe
masterRoamingUserProfiles.Thelocationyoupickmustbeaccessibletoallcomputers
onthenetworkthatyouwantavailablefordictationwithDragon.
2. SettheDisplay Name tothewaythenameofthedirectoryshoulddisplayinotherdialog
boxes.ThedisplaynamelaterappearsintheRoaming tabofthe
Administrative Settings dialogandtheLocation of user profile textboxofboth
theOpen User Profile andtheManage User Profiles dialogboxes.
3. SettheNetwork Location.SeethetypesoflocationsthattheRoamingfeaturesupports
inCreatinganetworkstoragelocationforMasterRoamingUserProfiles.
4. IfyouareusingawebservertostoreMasterRoamingUserProfiles,clickthe
HTTP Settings andSSL Settings (ifyouareusingHTTPS)buttontosetinformation
aboutyourHTTPandHTTPSconnectionandproceedwithHTTPSettingsandSSLSet-
tingsforfurtherinformation.AfterenteringtheHTTP andSSL Settings,usetheTest
Connection buttontomakesureyoursettingsarecorrect.Forhelptroubleshootinga
problemwiththeconnection,seeTestingandtroubleshootinganHTTPconnection.
5. ClickOK intheRoaming User Network Location dialogbox.
FormoreinformationonsettingthelocationofthemasterRoamingUserProfiles,see
RoamingUserNetworkLocation.
Note:Youcannotcreateanon-RoamingUserProfileonanHTTPconnection.
YoucanonlycreateRoamingUserProfilesonanHTTPconnectionwhenthe
Roamingfeatureisenabled.
Step 5: Set location of Local Roaming User Profiles
Whenanend-useropensaMasterRoamingUserProfile,Dragon transfersacopyofthat
UserProfiletothelocalcomputer.ThatlocalcopyiscalledtheLocalRoamingUserProfile.
Thisisthelocationonthecomputerwherechangesmadeduringadictationsession,suchas
correctionsornewacousticdata,arestoredbeforetheyaresynchronizedwiththemaster
RoamingUserProfile.
Youcansetthislocation,called<Roaming Local>,fromtheAdministrativeSettingsdialog
box.Nuancerecommendsleavingthisoptionatthedefaultsetting.
