andversionofDragon.Forexample,upgradingfromDragon10.0toDragon10.x.
AlthoughtheupgradedoesnotmigrateforwardtheconfigurationandRoamingUserProfile
settingsfromtheearlierversion,youcanreusethensdefaults.iniandroamingdef.inifilesyou
usedtoinstallDragonNaturallySpeaking13.Youcanalsocreatenew.inifilesorupdate
existingones.
Whenyourunsetup.exewithaGUItoinstallaminorupgrade,setup.execandetectwhena
previousversionofDragonexistsonatargetcomputer.Onceitdetectsapreviousversion,
setup.exerunstherestofyourinstallationinminorupgrademode,automaticallyoverwriting
olderfileswithnewerfilesandaddinganymissingfiles.
Using setup.exe for Silent Upgrades
IfyouareupgradingapreviousversionofDragon,youmustusetheREINSTALL=ALL
optionandREINSTALLMODEsettothesub-optionsthatindicatewhichfilestoreinstall,
usuallyREINSTALLMODE=vamus.Ifyoudidnotoriginallyinstallinthedefaultlocation,the
INSTALLDIRoptionisalsorequired.Hereisthecommandlineusingsetup.exe:
Toupgradesilentlywithsetup.exe,youpassthe/soption,thenpassREINSTALLor
REINSTALLMODEoptions.WhenyouperformasilentinstallationofDragon,the
